Job Description

One full-time vacancy. Work from Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM, for 40 hours a week. Duties include administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, preparing and serving nutritious meals, accompanying the recipient of care on medical appointments. Tasks also include light housekeeping and cleaning duties, engaging the recipient of care in light exercise (ie walking), laundering clothing and linens. Providing other personal care and companionship. This is a non-smoking and scent sensitive working environment.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (High) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Required skills: One year to less than two years of experience. Physical capabilities include: bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Physically demanding work. Must be able to lift heavier weight of 45-60 kgs (100-132 lbs) and work under pressure. The position includes repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate must have a genuine patient and caring demeanor.

Additional skills / Assets: Criminality and vulnerability sector checks required. Immunization records required. Must exhibit punctuality, good communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible and show initiative.
