Salary: 18.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities/Tasks
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain a clean and safe environment for children and staff
Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Empty trash bins and recycle containers daily, ensuring proper disposal of waste and maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
Regularly disinfect surfaces, toys, and equipment to ensure a hygienic space, particularly in high-touch areas, to prevent the spread of germs and illness.
Wash, dry, and fold linens and towels used in the day home, ensuring that all items are clean and available for use.

Monitor and report the need for cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that necessary materials are always on hand.
Carry out periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as washing windows, scrubbing floors, and cleaning high surfaces, to maintain overall cleanliness.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and children.
Work closely with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure that cleaning tasks align with daily activities in the day home.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
