*Job Opportunity: Home Support Worker for Private Home**

Are you a compassionate and dedicated caregiver looking for an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life? We are currently seeking a Home Support Worker to provide personalized care and assistance to an elderly female in a private home.

Experience:7 months to less than 1 year
Work site environment:Non-smoking

Work setting:
-Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
-Staff accommodation available
-Staff accommodation provided
-Work in employer’s/client’s home

Responsibilities/Tasks:
Administer bedside and personal care
Administer medications
Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
Feed or assist in feeding
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Cook

Credentials:
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :Personal Support Worker Certificate

**Responsibilities:**
– Provide compassionate and attentive care to meet the individual’s unique needs and preferences.
– Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
– Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document any observed changes in the individual’s condition.
– Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
– Engage the individual in meaningful activities, conversation, and companionship to promote well-being and social interaction.

**Requirements:**
– Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or a related field preferred.
– Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for the individual.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with the individual and their family.
– Respect for the individual’s privacy, dignity, and independence.
– Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule to accommodate the individual’s needs.
