Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Boston Pizza. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety. Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual menu items in accordance with Boston Pizza recipes, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Inspect and ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, food products, and prepared items before cooking and serving.
Maintain consistency in food preparation, portion control, presentation, and taste to meet company standards.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, seasoning, marinating, and assembling food items for efficient meal preparation.
Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops, and other food preparation equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared safely and served promptly while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen by following food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Store food properly, rotate inventory using FIFO practices, and minimize food waste while maintaining accurate stock levels.
Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing food supplies and kitchen inventory according to company procedures.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service during busy operating hours.

Requirements:

– Completion of secondary school

Terms of Employment:

Permanent employment, Full-time, 32–40 hours a week

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Starting date: As soon as possible

Pay: Salary $19.00 / hour
