Job Description

Operators will be responsible for ensuring that dispatched deliveries are completed on time and in a safe and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed and returned to the office, as well as maintaining truck maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Load and unload goods with the high up cranes
• Perform brake adjustments

Working Experience: 2 to 3 years
40 hours per week / 8 hours per hour

Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Required skills: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract) & Criminal Record Check. Type of trucking and equipment : Hiab truck with crane Folding Boom 10 ton & under
