Job Description: Mattali Drywall Inc. is looking for a Drywall Taper who can start immediately. Our office is located at 2339 2 Ave NW Calgary AB T2N 0H3.

Wages: $36.10 per hour/ 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full time permanent position

Employment conditions: Morning, Day, Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Job requirements: Language: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Job duties:
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
• Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
• Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms

Work site environment: At heights, Dusty, Noisy

Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended period of time, physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Walking

Work setting: Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Various locations

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
