Hours of work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Wage: $30.50 – 32.50 (to be negotiated) (includes $6 ECE wage enhancement)
Benefit: 4% vacation renumeration or 10 days paid vacations

*Job Duties*
• Design and deliver child-care programming that fosters infants’ and toddlers’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Lead age-appropriate experiences such as songs, stories, art and sensory play, music, dramatic play, and movement activities to support early learning.
• Set up and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment that supports children’s security and well-being.
• Observe and evaluate each child’s interests, strengths, and needs, and communicate progress or concerns with parents/guardians and the team.
• Monitor for possible developmental, learning, or behavioural concerns and document observations and reports for families and/or the supervisor when required.
• Support children with daily routines and help develop appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting habits in a respectful, developmentally appropriate way.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers and, when applicable, outside service providers involved in supporting children.

*Job Requirements*
• Education: Completion of a two- to four-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor’s degree in child development is required.
• Experience: experience an asset.
-Early Childhood Educator License required.
-Infant Toddler Educator Certificate to Practice required.
-Criminal record check, immunization records.
-Reliability, dependability, team player.
