Cook position: Thai Corner Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant located in a beautiful Sidney by the sea on Vancouver Island. Position Title: Cook
Terms of Employment:
· Full- time – Permanent position
· Wage: $20 per hour, for 40 hours per week.
Position available: 1

Job Descriptions / Main Duties:
· Consistently prepare ingredients,
· Processes raw goods, ensures proper storage and handling of food,
· Correctly prepares foods according to recipes and or instruction,
· May assist in supervising kitchen helpers, as needed,
· Record and report supplies needed in the kitchen,
· Able to run various pieces of kitchen equipment, and be familiar with buffet equipment,
· Prepare items to meet daily requests and prepare support items as required,
· Clean the kitchen area, and
· Must abide by all kitchen rules, schedules, and health and safety regulations.

Skill / Experience Requirements:
Experience in Thai cuisine.
FOODSAFE certificate is an asset.
Education – Completion of Secondary (High) School.
Work – 2 years of experience as a Cook.
Language – Must have good English communication Skills.
Work Site Environment –Standing for extended periods
