Job Duties:

• Interpreting blueprints to determine the shape, size, color and thickness of glass for installation procedures.
• Measuring and marking lines or patterns on glass before cutting.
• Cutting glass to size and specifications in the workshop and on the job site.
• Measuring, cutting and fitting anti-glare film to glass if required.
• Install the glass where it’s needed, using caution to ensure that the installation lasts for as long as possible
• Load and unload glass panels as dictated by project needs
• Remove old pieces of glass from doors, windows, and displays
• Fabricating and installing moldings for glass installation.
• Cutting and removing broken glass prior to new installation.
• Tinting and patterning of glass through etching or painting
• Repair and service glass doers and other glass supporting structures.
• Assemble and mount prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass items on building exteriors, walls, or ceilings.
