Long Haul Truck Driver (4 Positions)

Hours: 37.5 – 44 hours per week

Job Overview

STEFANO’S INC is currently hiring 4 Long Haul Truck Drivers for full-time, on-site positions based in Saint John, NB. This role involves cross-border transportation and long-haul driving across various routes.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and adjust routes using GPS and navigation tools to optimize fuel efficiency
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks (tractor-trailer A train)
Load and unload goods safely
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
Monitor vehicle condition (tires, brakes, lights, refrigeration units, etc.)
Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs (including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs)
Maintain accurate logs (cargo, hours of service, fuel consumption, mileage)
Communicate effectively with dispatch
Ensure cargo safety, including tarping and securing loads
Handle required documentation for cross-border transportation
Requirements

Language: English
Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
Experience: Experience is an asset
License: Valid AZ Class License
Willingness to travel long-haul and cross-border
Documentation Knowledge

Driver logbook
Inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Accident/incident reports
Maintenance and repair records
Trans-border documentation
Work Conditions

On-site position (no remote work)
Day shifts, on-call, and weekends as required
Long-haul travel required
Eligibility
