Job Description: Child Caregiver – Private Home (Full-Time, Permanent)

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and responsible Child Caregiver to work full-time in our private home in Edmonton, Alberta (T6L area). The caregiver will provide daily care and supervision for children in a safe, nurturing, and non-smoking home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for infants and/or children in the home
Bathe, dress, and feed children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Sterilize bottles and prepare infant formula
Follow parents’ guidance with toilet training and discipline
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Organize age-appropriate activities such as games and outings
Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment for children
Tend to the emotional well-being of children
Prepare children for rest and nap times
Travel with the family on trips when required and assist with child supervision and light housekeeping related to childcare

Work Details:

Location: Employer’s private home (on-site only)
Hours: 32 to 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Morning shifts
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

Requirements:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience is an asset but not mandatory

CPR and First Aid certification & Vulnerable Sector Check are required.

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, reliability, and good organization

Work Environment: Non-smoking household, Work in employer’s home

Eligibility to Apply: Canadian citizens, Permanent residents, Temporary residents with a valid Canadian work permit
