Title of position: Family caregiver, for private home

Candidate is to care for 2 children: a 15-year-old child with ASD disability and a 10-year-old child

Duties: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize activities such as games and outings for children, Supervise and care for children, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Provide personal care, Shop for food and household supplies, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents

Terms of employment: 30 hours/week, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with split shifts and overtime if needed

Wages $21 per hour

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate /Completion of high school.
Work experience required: 1 year to less than 2 years of previous caregiving experience, experience with special needs children (ASD)
Language required to do the work: English
Criminal record check

employment); staff accommodation available; optional accommodation available at no
charge on a live-in basis (this is NOT a condition of employment)
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
