Job Description

A family is looking to hire in full time, a Home Child Care Provider, location: 11410 72 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 0B8 to care for our children in a private household and assist to ensure their safety, well being, and healthy development. The role requires a responsible, dependable individual capable of working independently and assuming full responsibility for the home in the parents’ absence.
Wage: $37.50/hour
Language: English
Experience Required: 2–3 years
Education: Post-secondary school completion preferred or equivalent experience.
Job Duties:
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Bathe, dress, and feed children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Tend to the emotional well being of children
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
Additional Requirements
• Ability to work without supervision
• Strong understanding of child safety and developmental needs
• Willingness to perform household related tasks
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to children’s emotional and physical needs
