The Province of Nova Scotia is regarded as the seafood capital of Canada, with its proximity to fishing and lobster grounds and direct logistic solutions to the continent. Our main business is supplying premium seafood from Nova Scotia factories and vessels to the world market.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services
2. Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
3. Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
4. Negotiate offers from suppliers
5. Consult with suppliers
6. Review quotations
7. Determine contract terms and conditions
8. Award contracts to appropriate parties
9. Establish delivery schedules
10. Monitor progress of delivery schedules
11. Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
12. Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
13. Provide customer service

Job Type:
• Full Time
• Permanent

Compensation and Work Schedule:
• $26.50/hour
• 30-35 hours/week
• Overtime pay will be applied if working over 48 hours/week
