Home Child Care Provider (Nanny)

Main Duties:

Home Child Care providers (Nanny) perform some or all the following duties but not limited to this:
• Supervise and care for two children in the employer’s home
• Bathe, dress and feed the children
• Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by the parents
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formula and baby food
• Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children
• Prepare the children for naps and bedtime and settle them for rest periods
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take the children to and from school, medical or other appointments
• Assist the children with homework and school projects
• Teach the children personal hygiene, manners and social skills
• Guide and discipline the children using the methods requested by the parents
• Support the emotional well-being of the children and provide comfort and reassurance
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment throughout the home
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare
• Keep daily records of the children’s activities, meals and health information and report to the parents
• Assume full responsibility for the household and the children in the absence of the parents

Requirements:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 to 12 months of experience or any post-secondary diploma.
Languages: English
Work Location Information: Employer’s Home in Surrey, BC, Canada
Wages: $20.50/hr.
