A family residing in Langley, BC V2Y 3R5 is seeking a Child Caregiver for children aged 1 and 5 to work in a private home. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

Position: Child Caregiver – Private Home

Wage: CAD $20.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefit: 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Supervise and care for children aged 1 and 5 in employer’s home;
• Assist children with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding;
• Change diapers for the younger child, as required;
• Provide care and supervision for the younger child, including naps and age-appropriate developmental activities;
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children;
• May perform other housekeeping duties;
• Oversee children’s daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and activities as directed by the parents;
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home;
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and healthy habits;
• Support the emotional well-being of children and encourage positive social development;
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents;
• Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings;
• Accompany the children to appointments and activities as required
• Keep daily records of children’s activities, behavior, and health-related information.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required;
• Criminal record clearance is required.
