We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to join the Mission Bottle Depot team.

(Overtime rate 1.5 times the regular wage after working 40 hours per week and/or 8 hours per day)
Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4 % vacation fee

Job Description:
As the Retail Store Manager, you will lead all aspects of our bottle depot operations in Mission, BC. You’ll be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and driving team performance. Your strategic eye for inventory management, commitment to safety and environmental standards, and strong leadership skills will help Mission Bottle Depot continue to deliver reliable recycling services to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct, plan, organize and control all daily depot operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Evaluate operational workflows and implement improvements to optimize throughput.
• Determine which merchandise and services to offer, including pricing and promotional strategies.
• Locate, select and procure inventory to meet customer demand and sustainability goals.
• Assess staffing requirements; recruit, hire, train and supervise both staff and volunteers.
• Assign duties, develop work schedules and conduct performance reviews.
• Resolve operational issues promptly—handling customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.

Requirements:
• Completion of a College education or equivalent work experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience directly related to Retail Store Manager/Bottle Depot
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of nail care services and hygiene regulations
