Lighthouse Shellfish Ltd., 191 Muschamp Rd., Union Bay, British Columbia, V0R 3B0, seeks Shellfish Harvester. Permanent, FT position. Wage: $37.75 per hour.

Job duties for this position:
• Monitoring oyster growth and health
• Harvesting oysters and digging clams
• Sorting oysters by size and quality
• Digging clams from beds with spades, forks or other instruments
• Grading and weighing aquaculture stocks
• Keeping daily records of shellfish
• Preparing aquaculture stocks for market
• Cleaning, sorting and transporting shellfish to market
• Maintaining cages, lines and floats
• Performing routine equipment maintenance
• Cleaning gear and work area

Location of Work
• Union Bay
• Denman Island
• Marina Island

Job requirements for this position:
a. Some secondary school
b. One year of experience as shellfish harvester
c. Ability to speak some English
d. Vietnamese speaking an asset
