Job Description

Job Duties:
• Monitoring oyster growth and health
• Harvesting oysters and digging clams
• Sorting oysters by size and quality
• Digging clams from beds with spades, forks or other
instruments
• Grading and weighing aquaculture stocks
• Keeping daily records of shellfish
• Preparing aquaculture stocks for market
• Cleaning, sorting and transporting shellfish to
market
• Maintaining cages, lines and floats
• Performing routine equipment maintenance
• Cleaning gear and work area
• May operate boats for aquaculture operations.
Job Requirements:
• Some primary or secondary school
• Some English required

Required languages: Some English required

Education level: No degree certificate or diploma

Required skills: One year of experience as Shellfish harvester
