Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Halal Meat Department Manager at the E C M Enterprise Ltd to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Halal meat department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, freshness, and Halal standards. This role includes supervising other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, safety and delivering excellent customer service.

Tasks
Evaluate daily operations
Manage staff and assign duties
Determine merchandise and services to be sold
Locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
Determine staffing requirements
Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers
Train meat cutters

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Required skills: Knowledge of Halal standards and compliance, Meat cutting and butchering techniques, Inventory management , Ordering and vendor management, Quality control and product inspection, Workforce scheduling and shift planning

Additional skills / Assets: Experience in the Halal meat department is an asset
