Responsibilities
Tasks
• Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries
• Sort, process and verify applications, receipts and other documents
• Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
• Send and receive messages
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
• Prepare and format page presentation
• Prepare invoices and bank deposits
• Provide general information to clients and the public
• Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory
• Perform data entry
• Provide customer service
• Label files according to retention and disposal schedules
• Label, file and retrieve documents
• Locate and remove files requested
• Organize and schedule office work
• Obtain and process information required to provide customer service
• Maintain work records and logs
• Provide directory assistance
• Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
• Send invoices
• Arrange teleconferences
• Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
• Record and relay information
• Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization’s goals
• Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
• Perform administrative tasks
• Provide basic information to clients and the public
• Receive and issue payments
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Perform clerical duties, such as filing and sorting and distributing mail
