Tasks :
Installs, aligns, dismantles and moves stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, roasters and compressors according to plans using hand and power tools. Operates hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and power trucks to position machinery and parts during the installations, set-up and repair of machinery. Inspects and examines machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregular and malfunctions. Documents if they see parts that may be damaged or broken and adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective / broken parts. Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on machinery. Assembles machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools. Maintains work area clean, organized and safe, reports potential hazards to supervisor. Responsible for Lockout procedures. Works safely and follows legislated and established safe work procedures and practices. Any additional duties as required in adherence to the JVF GMP policies.
