Big Lake Eatery is looking for three (3) Full-Time Cooks (NOC 63200)! This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, $25.00/hour. We offer year-round and seasonal contracts.
Job Description:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Monitor and check cooler temperature all shifts
• Take orders from the wait staff and prepare food according to customer preference
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and order
• Monitor and manage cooking tools and ingredients
• Make adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
• Set up work station and preparing for the day
• Comply with company policies, ensure all meals goes out fresh as the first one
• Ensure that utensils are used correctly and put away properly
• Ensure kitchen is open on time
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of commercial cooking experience.
• Previous experience preparing consistent, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to bake and make meals from scratch
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to portion accurately
• Knowledge of Jamaican and North American cuisine is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English
