Barr-Ag Ltd. near Olds, AB require 3 Farm Supervisors to perform the following duties:

• Location: 33115 Range Road 10 A, Olds, AB T4H 1G6 (Various locations)
• Salary: $25.00 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Employment conditions: Early morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend, Overtime required
• Starts as soon as possible

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Tasks
• Hire and train, coordinate, assign and supervise the work of farm equipment operators, truck drivers and/or harvesting laborers;
• Supervise, monitor and enforce procedures to maintain crop health and welfare;
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations;
• Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies;
• Ensure farm safety, security and bio-security procedures are followed;
• Maintain quality control and production records;
• Perform general farm duties such as operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment ie. Tractor and truck driving, Haying equipment, Farming machinery, Automated irrigation system, Bulk handling system, Fertilizer applicator, Harvesters, Seed drill, Sprayer or duster, Storage and silage system, Forklift
• Monitor equipment and machinery operations to detect malfunctions and perform minor repairs to farm equipment and machinery;
• Provide agricultural crop services such as harvesting, baling, re-baling, staking and loading.
