Position Title: Roofer (NOC 73110)
Available Positions: Three (3)
Start Dated: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment:
• Permanent Position – Full time
• Weekends, Mornings, daytime, and some overtime
• Wages – Starting at $32.00 – $34.00/hour for 30 – 40 hours per week

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Repair, maintain, and remove roofs and the installation of new ones,
• Measure roof to calculate the quantities of required materials,
• Install vapor barriers and layers of insulation,
• Inspected composition shingles, slate shingles, and metal roofs for leaks,
• Apply cold process roof coatings,
• Erect rigging as required,
• Determine materials requirements for roof repairs,
• Inspect problem roofs to find out the best way to repair them,
• Find and replace damaged joists and plywood,
• Install shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof watertight,
• Working at heights on flat and slopped roofs, and
• Required the use of manual and or power tools.

Skill / Experience Requirements:
• Secondary (High) School is an asset.
• One (1) to Two (2) years of experience as a roofer.
• Work Site Environment – Fast pace and high pressure at heights; working outside; in a commercial and/or residential setting.
