Hiring a Restaurant Manager

Qualification:
– Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required. Or Completion of secondary school with extensive (Over 3 years) supervisory experience will substitute the formal education requirement.
– Several years (2 – 3 years) of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience is required.
– Able to work flexible schedule including weekend and evening and holiday shifts.
– Serving it Right BC is required.
– English is required.

Main duties:
– Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
– Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices.
– Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant.
– Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
– Estimate food requirements and estimate food and labour costs.
– Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.

Working hours:
30 hours per week (full-time, permanent position)

Wage & Benefits:
– $37.50 – $38.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
– 4% vacation pay, shared gratuities, and free meal at work
