845 Spud Farms Ltd., located at 84042 HWY 845, Coaldale, AB T1M 1M8, is seeking a Farm Equipment Operator. Full-time, Permanent position. English speaking workplace:

Wage: $24.00/hour
Education: Basic
Experience: 1-2 years (Farm Equipment)

Duties: Operate farm equipment, including application equipment and agricultural chemicals. Operate and maintain irrigation equipment. Reporting abnormalities or shortcomings in operations or equipment to management. Equipment Maintenance, including repair equipment in the field or shop. Check and record planting conditions, depth spacing, seed and cutting quality. Check field for moisture levels at required intervals. Scouting fields for diseases and weeds. Responsible for bruising and harvest quality during the harvest process, train operators in the use of diggers and storage equipment. Help maintain a food-safe environment at all times. Maintain and comply with food safety and AG safe Alberta programs. Maintain field records in AG Expert or Excel. Plant, irrigate, fertilize and harvest crops. Winter months – snow clearing, maintenance of farm equipment and irrigation equipment. Work with owners to determine crop rotations. General farm duties as required.

Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Must be able to work weekends including Sundays, on a schedule.
