Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Post secondary education (degree in health and physical education), completion of relevant coaching certifications, and/or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years or more
Required Clearances: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, adult abuse registry check.
Ability to Supervise: Must be able to supervise other coaches and players of various age groups.
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation may be available. Willing to travel.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically fit to work in an active environment, with a combination of sitting, standing (including for extended periods), walking in gym and fitness facilities.
Work Site Environment: Sport facilities indoors and outdoors

Required skills: Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions. Nurture and develop athletes and other coaches’ skills. Motivate and prepare players and coaches for competition. Observe and evaluate players and coaches’ skills and performance. Participate in coaching instruction. Develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs. Carry out administrative duties, as required. Analyze and evaluate athletes, teams, or Club’s performance to modify training and development programs.
Additional skills / Assets: Identify, or assist in identifying, the strengths and weaknesses of athletes or teams. Formulate competitive strategies focusing on Club growth, development of game plans and athletic events.
