Job duties

– Assist with dressing and undressing. (Shoes, winter gear, jackets)
– Diaper change, assist with potty training, and bathroom breaks.
– Cook meals, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Must be experienced with Brazilian cuisine.
– Create and deliver basic Preschool lessons. (ABC, NUMBERS, DAYS OF THE WEEK, SEASONS, SHAPES…)
– Introducing the Portuguese language through daily activities.
– Create daily routines.
– Take the kids outside in all types of weather. (We follow the Edmonton Public School guidelines for outdoor time).
– Introducing sports basics. Encourage children to be active.
– Document incidents.
– Experience with special needs kids. (Autism, ADHD, speech delay)
– Communicate with parents at pick up about the children’s day.
– Language: English and Portuguese

Required languages: English and Portuguese

Education level: Completion of high school mandatory. Post secondary education preferred.

Required skills: Must speak Portuguese fluently. Must have a sports background. Experience with kids (references will be required). Must be able to cook Brazilian foods/snacks.
