Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton seeks interested and qualified applicants for:

Summer Student – Assistant
Reporting to: Privacy and CPIN Lead Supervisor
Classification: Full Time Temporary (For the months of July and August); 35 hours weekly.
Type of Posting: Summer Student
Job Location: This position is based at our office.
Salary: $19.50/hour
Starting Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities
The Service Assistant would provide support to the Child Protection Workers with aspects service delivery including:
• Providing administrative support to the Document Management Team and Unit Assistants:
o managing letters, mail, and faxes.
o Assisting with room bookings
o Monitoring and responding to Document Management department emails.
• Providing administrative support in reception when needed including:
o Greeting and assisting visitors.
o Answering and directing phone calls.
o Monitoring the reception email requests.
• Support Reception staff with Code White Response procedures
• Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of anti-oppressive practices and anti-racism based on justice, fairness, equity, respect of believes and traditions of others.
• Performing other duties as may be assigned.
• Comply with Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Health and Safety Act.

Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
• Ability to write concise, clear notes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to anti-oppression values of justice, equity, respect of the beliefs and traditions of others
• Committed to agency values of Success for Children, Youth and Families, Service Excellence, Integrity, Human Dignity & Respect, Communication & Collaboration, Compassion, Shared Accountability and Our Team
