Job Description
NOC 44100 – Home child care providers
Child care provider required for family with one child, 5 years old. The applicant must be mature, loving, energetic, honest, outgoing, independent and reliable.
Work Location: intersection of Tyne St. and School Ave. Vancouver, BCV5R 4L6
Job duties:
Supervise and care for the child is main priority. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. Bathe, dress and feed the child. Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents. Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Organize, activities such as games and outings for the child. Take the child to and from school and to appointments. Prepare the child for rest periods. Tend to emotional well-being of the child.
Job Requirements – Experience and Qualifications:
Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education
At least 6 months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English
Eligible to receive work permit for Canada
Work Setting
Employer’s home.
Terms of Employment:
The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday
2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave.
Relocation cost paid by the employer. Start date of employment: July, 2024.
Wage: $18.00 hourly.
