Namu Design is located at 7244 Gilley Ave., Burnaby, BC V5J 4X3. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Carpenters. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

Position: Carpenter
Wage: CAD$30.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and requirements;
• Measure and prepare layout details in compliance with building codes;
• Take measurements, calculate the size and amount of material needed based on measurements;
• Cut, shape, smooth, assemble and join wood and other materials according to measurements;
• Measure frames, fit and install cabinets, closets, doors, baseboards, and floor, etc.;
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures of residential and commercial properties;
• Supervise apprentices and other staff.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over 4 years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry.
