Responsibilities
Tasks

1. Establish methods to meet work schedules
2. Requisition food and kitchen supplies
3. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
4. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
5. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
6. Hire food service staff
7. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
8. Prepare budget and cost estimates
9. Address customers’ complaints or concerns
10. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
11. Prepare and submit reports
12. Prepare food order summaries for chef
13. Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
14. Supervise and check assembly of trays
15. Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
16. Establish work schedules
