Job Description

Mt. Ida Construction of Grande Prairie, Alberta, is now hiring a Permanent Full-Time Cement Finisher.

Job Duties:
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
• Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
• Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, and other concrete structures

Wages and Benefits: Wages of $30.00 per hour, for 35 to 40 hours work per week.

Work Experience: Must have at least 2 years of work experience in concrete finishing and must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.

Education: Completion of high school education is required.
