Job Description

Seeking full-time nanny for infant and preschool-age child at a private household in Roncesvalles village, Toronto. $18-$20/hour for 40 hours per week. Health benefits included. English required.
Duties:
o Supervise and care for children in private residence
o Bathe, dress and feed infant and child
o Prepare bottles and change diapers for infant
o Plan, prepare and serve meals and perform other housekeeping duties
o Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
o Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
o Instruct children in personal hygiene
o Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
o Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
o Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
o Take children to and from school and appointments
o Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child
Requirements:
o Completion of secondary school.
o Completion of a training program in child care or a related field may be required.
o 1-11 months of child care or household management experience may be required.
o Demonstrated ability to perform work is required.
o First aid certification and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is required.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary School

Experienced with children aged: Newborn to 5 years old

Required skills: Organized and reliable. Enjoys caring for children. Completion of secondary school. Completion of a training program in child care or a related field may be required. 1-11 months of child care or household management experience may be required. Demonstrated ability to perform work is required. First aid certification and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is required.
