Job Description

Located in Vancouver, 2 Guys with Knives is currently looking for 4 talented cooks/prep cooks to join our team.
We have 2 schedules for this position. Schedule A is Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm. Schedule B is Tuesday to Saturday, 8 am – 4:30 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards;

• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.

Required Education & Experience;
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in the culinary industry;
• Completion of a high school diploma is mandatory;
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively
• Self-disciplined, eager to learn, and have a passion for the food and service industry

Pay Rate/ Salary: $18-20 per hour
