Excavator Operator

Job Title: Excavator Operator (NOC: 73400)
Employer: Birch Hill Construction
Location: 11 McElroy St, Moncton, NB E1C 9T2
Wage: 23/hr for 40 hrs per week
Vacancy: 3 vacancies

Job Requirements:

Languages
• English or French

Education
• Minimum: Secondary Education diploma or GED
• Apprenticeship training of less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Experience
• At least 2 years to less than 3 years of work as an excavator operator or related field.
Duties:
• Operate heavy equipment to move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.
• Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways
• Excavate rock, ore or other materials from open pit mines, strip mines, quarries or construction pits.
• Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
