Job Requirements:

Languages
• English or French

Education
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience
• 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience

Duties:
• Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products
• Sets up and operates variety of machines to surface, cut, and shape lumber, and to fabricate parts for wood products, like doors, door window frames, furniture, and sashes, according to specifications.
• Operates machines to saw to smooth and shape lumber and wood parts.
• Operate chop saws, thickness planers, rip saw, and re-saw
• Shaping & tenoning profiled wood parts for doors and windows
• Breakout and process lumber
• set-up of machine centers
• Gluing and clamping veneers
• Feeding molders and shapers
• Glazing
• Sanding door components and completed doors
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
• May sharpen machine cutting heads, using hand tools grinder.

Security and Safety:
• Drug test, criminal record check

Work Conditions
• Fast paced environment, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, overtime required, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks

Equipment
• Sanders, Computerized woodworking machine, routers, drills, gluing machine, planers, saws, door machine
