K&M Construction Ltd. is looking for an individual for the position of “Construction Laborer” on permanent and full time equivalent.

Positions: 1

Job Duties:

Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades required at construction sites.
Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers, and glazers in construction.
Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile savaged materials
Remove rubble and other debris at construction using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
Employment Requirements:

Some experience as a general construction laborer is an asset.
There is no language required for this position.
This position may require reading and understanding the signs posted on construction site. For eg: reading warning labels on tools or machinery
As all our workers are Punjabi speaking, it would be an asset for the applicant to speak/understand Punjabi language.
If needed be we will arrange part time English classes for the worker at no cost. We will pay the fee for classes

Salary: $23.98/hour and guaranteed 30hrs/week.

Work Location: All over lower mainland Vancouver.
