Job Description

ECMC Contracting is seeking a Beef Cattle Herdsperson for their 1512 Route 940, Centre Village, New Brunswick, E4C 1Y4. Permanent, full-time. English speaking workplace. Rural Area.

Wage: $25.00/hour for 40 hours per week
Education: Basic
Experience: 3-5 years

Duties:
-Daily care of cattle. Check for illness and/or injuries.
-Feed cattle, ensure waterers are full.
-Treat illness and injuries.
-Administer medications and vaccines as required.
-Work with calves, weaning etc..
-Track and report on feed inventory
-Maintain livestock records
-Carry out breeding programs
-Artificial Insemination of cattle.
-Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
-Maintain work logs and records.
-Mark cattle with proof of ownership
-Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
-General farm duties as directed by manager/owner

Weekend work is required, including Sundays. Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions.
