Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Caregiver to provide attentive care within a private home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing, supervising, and engaging with children to promote their well-being, development, and safety. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while working in a supportive and family-oriented environment. The Child Caregiver will be expected to foster a positive atmosphere, assist with daily routines, and support the child’s growth through educational and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

Change diapers
Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
Sterilise bottles and prepare formulas
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Organise activities such as games and outings for children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Prepare infants and children for rest periods
Supervise and care for children
Provide personal care
Housekeeping activities
Qualifications

Prior experience working with children in a caregiving or teaching capacity is preferred
Ability to work with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding
Skills in cooking and meal preparation suitable for children’s nutritional requirements
Experience in caregiving roles that involve cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents
Knowledge of child development principles and safety protocols
Compassionate, reliable, and attentive nature with a genuine passion for caring for children
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and flexibility
