Position: Food Counter Attendant
Terms of employment: Full-time and permanent position
Location of work: Camrose, Alberta.
Wage: $15.50/hr.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to enhance their dining experience
• Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing
• Handle food preparation and serving duties in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy and integrity
• Assist with food presentation, refilling stations, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
• Upsell menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Maintain proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices throughout shifts
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Provide guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Skills and Experience:
• Must be legal to work in Canada
• Some secondary school education is an asset but not required
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a hospitality environment
• Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing outstanding guest experiences
