Job Description

We are seeking a caring and responsible live out Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support our 3 children (13, 11, 4). The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for my children. Main duties will be to care for my 4 year old, assist with pickup/drop off at preschool, engage in age appropriate activities such as: read, stem toys, activities in the neighborhood, arts and craft etc. Nanny must prepare and cleanup after her meals as well as tidy up after playing. Ideally this person is someone who can occasionally watch all 3 children in the evenings while my husband and I go out for date night. Applicants should be passionate about caregiving and possess a genuine love for working with children. We are located in North Burnaby, close to Confederation park. Responsibilities:
-Supervise and monitor children’s activities to ensure safety at all times
-Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary needs
-Assist with homework, educational activities, and age-appropriate teaching tasks
-Engage children in creative play, reading, and learning activities to promote development
-Perform light housekeeping tasks related to child care, including cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas
-Follow family routines and schedules for naps, outings, and bedtime routines
-Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns

Qualifications:
-Prior experience working with children in a caregiving or teaching role preferred
-Ability to cook simple meals and prepare snacks for children
-Strong caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and reliability
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families
-Ability to perform light cleaning related to childcare duties
-Demonstrated responsibility in supervising children in various settings
-Valid background check and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines
