Target audience
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide personalized care and assistance to two senior individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being in a home setting.
Job Description:

• 30hours/week
• Salary: $ 20.5 / hour
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Work setting: Employer’s home
• Working set environment: non-smoking and scent-free
• Benefit: 4% vacation pay
Job Responsibilities:
• Support seniors with regular physical activity, such as guided walking or light exercise, to maintain mobility and overall well-being.
• Wash, dry, fold, and organize seniors’ clothing and household linens to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and tidying living spaces, to maintain a safe and sanitary home.
• Offer companionship through conversation, engagement in hobbies, and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
• Assist with personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while respecting the client’s dignity and privacy.
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced, nutritious meals tailored to seniors’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Administer prescribed medications in the correct dosage and at the appropriate times and monitor for any side effects or changes in the client’s condition.
• Provide first aid in case of minor injuries and assist in emergency situations by contacting appropriate medical services and offering support until help arrives.
• Assist with daily personal care routines as required.
Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Work Experience: Experience caring for seniors is an asset
• Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available, or private parking is available.
• A CPR Certificate or First Aid Certificate is required.
• Criminal Record Check is required.
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, repetitive tasks, walking, working under pressure and physically demanding
