Van-Roc Interiors JV is looking for eight (8) Full-Time Construction Labourers (NOC 75110)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours per week, $23.80 to $24.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Load and unload construction materials (Drywall, Drywall Joint Compound, Steel, T-bar etc.) and move materials to work areas
• Load and unload construction tools and equipment (Engineered scaffolding, ladders, planks, paint & texture machines etc.)
• Remove drywall scrap and other debris at construction sites using wheelbarrows and other equipment such as garbage chutes and place in bins or bin trucks.
• Tidy, organize, sweep and vacuum jobsites
• Assist tradespersons such as steel framers (measure and cut steel with hand or power tools, fas-ten framing members together using screws and battery powered screw-guns)
• Assist tradespersons such as insulators (cut insulation with utility knife and place in walls and ceilings)
• Assist tradespersons such as drywall installers (measure and cut drywall panels with tape meas-ure and utility knife, fasten cut panels to wall and ceiling members with screws and battery pow-ered screw-guns)
• Assist tradespersons such as drywall finishers (mix drywall joint compound (mud) and apply to drywall joints using trowels and taping knives, sand compound smooth to accept paint finish)
• Operate hand tools to assist tradespersons
• Operate electric and battery powered hand tools to assist tradespersons
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Job Requirements:
• Must be physically fit in order to effectively perform job duties
• Language in the workplace is English
Benefits:
• Benefits available after 3-month probation: life and AD&D, extended medical including prescrip-tion and dental. Benefit amounts to be deducted from each pay period.
