NOC Code 44101 – Home support workers, caregivers and related occupations
Home support worker required to take care of two seniors.
The candidate must be mature, honest, independent and reliable.
Work location: intersection of 54th Ave. and Beechwood St., Vancouver, BC V6P 1P7.

Job duties :
Care for the seniors in their own residence. Assisting with all aspects of personal care. Providing support and assistance in balance and mobilization. Assist in activities of daily living. Accompany the seniors to doctor’s appointments. Organize activities and outings for the seniors. Prepare meals and light housekeeping for the patients. Assist in activities of daily living.. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the seniors. Showing compassion for the patients and passion for elderly care in all actions.

Experience and Qualifications :
Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education
At least six months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years.
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English. Eligible to receive work permit in Canada. Reference required.

Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs covered by employer
Anticipated Start Date: April, 2024

Terms of Employment :
The job is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave.
