Position: Interior Vertical Wall Plant Specialist
Wage rate: $40/hr

Education: Completion of high school is required. College Diploma will be an asset.
Experience: 5 years of experience in landscaping.

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland.
Business Location: 360 East 48th Avenue Vancouver, BC V5W 2E3
Job Duties:
• Design and install vertical green walls and green roofs using tropical plant species
• Plan the incorporation of landscape structures in indoor environments
• Trim trees and plants according to pruning objectives (crown cleaning, thinning, raising, vista pruning, etc.)
• Prepare conceptual designs and project proposals
• Survey and assess project sites to determine appropriate design and plant selection
• Read blueprints and interpret work instructions to guide installation and maintenance
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other plant care products
• Water and maintain plants, lawns, and/or gardens within the scope of interior installations
• Manage and supervise landscaping projects from concept to completion
• Write specifications and prepare contracts, tenders, and cost estimates
• Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for decorative and functional purposes
• Install and maintain irrigation systems for green walls
• Lead a team of 3–5 staff, providing training, direction, and quality control
• Ensure timely project execution and high standards of workmanship

Working Conditions:
• Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
• Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
• Repetitive task.
• Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
