Job Description
Baker Job Duties:
-Prepare doughs and batters for donuts, breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, scones, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and production requirements
-Bake and finish baked goods in accordance with production schedules
-Assist with basic food preparation as required for commissary kitchen operations
-Ensure all products meet established quality and food safety standards
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools
-Monitor ingredient usage and report inventory requirements
-Work as part of a production team to meet daily output requirements
-May assist with training or supervising bakery or kitchen staff, as required
Work Conditions:
-Work is performed in a bakery production environment
-Early morning start times, including shifts beginning as early as 2:00 a.m.
-Saturday and Sunday availability required
Requirements
Education:
-Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
-Post-secondary diploma or degree in food service or a related field is considered an asset
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a commercial or production baking facility
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Wage: $19.46 per hour
Benefits: Extended health benefits to commence after three (3) months of employment
