Printing Press Operator Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced candidate to fill permanent, full-time position of Printing Press Operator at this location.

Qualifications & skills required:

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience is required
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language

Job Summary:
Printing press operators set up, operate, and maintain various kinds of presses — such as offset lithographic, flexographic, and letterset — to produce printed material. They have knowledge of the standard practices, materials, techniques, and processes used in a pressroom and consistently adhere to safety rules and regulations associated with operating such machinery.
Job description:
• Supervise, support, and coordinate the daily activities of flexographic press operators, slitting machine operators, and die-cutting staff.
• Plan and assign work schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Monitor workflow to ensure efficient press utilization and timely job completion.
• Coordinate cross-departmental activities between printing, laminating, and finishing areas.
• Repare daily reports detailing total production volume for all printing, slitting, and die-cut stations.
• Submit weekly reports summarizing press downtime, major repair activities, material and labor costs,
• Ensure all operations comply with occupational health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Promote a safe working environment through proper training and adherence to safety procedures.
• Implement quality assurance procedures and conduct regular inspections during production runs.
• Identify and resolve print quality issues, recommending corrective measures or process improvements.

Compensation: Wage $36.10 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Work hours: Minimum 35 hours per week
