Job Overview:
As a Flooring Foreman at System One Floor Solutions Inc., you will oversee and directly participate in the installation of a variety of flooring types. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with clients, manage a team of installers, and ensure safety and efficiency on all job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and lead a team of flooring installers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines and safety standards.
– Perform and oversee the installation of flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile.
– Conduct site inspections and prepare work areas for installation.
– Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
– Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
– Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
– Train, mentor, and support junior installers.
– Manage project materials, tools, and inventory to ensure timely availability and proper usage.
– Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly.
– Maintain detailed records of work progress and communicate updates to management.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Flooring Foreman or in a supervisory role related to flooring installation.
– Extensive knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and safety procedures.
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
– Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
– High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
– Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50 lbs or more.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
Working Conditions:
– Outdoor and indoor work environments, often in wet, cold, dusty, and odorous conditions.
– Exposure to noise and heavy workloads.
– Physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
– Repetitive movements and extended periods of manual labor.
